Abstract
With the rapid growth of wireless communication technologies and mobile applications, more and more mobile terminals need to access Internet seamlessly. Due to the IP address acts as both identifier and locator for a mobile terminal, it cannot guarantee the service continuity when a mobile terminal keeps moving. An efficient mobility management schemes for a mobile terminal is important. The Host Identity Protocol (HIP) introduces an alternative to the dual use of IP address, however, it only provides global mobility management. The Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) Protocol is a network-based localized mobility management solution in IP network layer. This paper proposes an enhanced mobility management method for HIP, called Ldd secure mobility management protocol.
