Abstract

Aims: To clone and characterize genomic gene encoding for RMP5-mediating protein (RMP). Methods: Genomic library of lambda phage was screened with cDNA probe of full RMP encoding amino acids from 1 to 508. Southern blot analysis, Mapping of restriction enzyme sites, PCR and DNA sequencing were applied for characterization of isolated clones. Results: the RMP genomic fragments were isolated, which encode for the middle and C-terminal of RMP, but lack N-terminal sequence. Restriction enzyme sites were mapped on the genomic DNA with sequence confirmed.
