Abstract
Driving simulators have been used in many traffic studies because traffic experiments in driving simulators are much safer and cheaper than the ones in the real world. Driving simulation integrates many software and hardware components, an important one of which is road database. Today most of existing road databases used in driving simulators are fixed and the creation of new ones is a time-consuming task This may limit users from developing wanted driving scenarios. In this paper, a method is introduced for automatically creating road databases for driving simulators given road design parameters.
