Abstract
Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) transmission or reception is an efficient way to reduce inter-cell interference, improve the spectrum efficiency and coverage in LTE-Advanced systems. Compared with other CoMP technologies, Joint Transmission (JT), which carries out precoding based on the channel information, can achieve better system performance gain. In this paper, a scheme termed the projection-based power allocation is proposed, which combines the joint transmission in the space domain with the power allocation in the frequency domain. The simulation results for TD-LTE-Advanced systems show that the scheme outperforms traditional equal power allocation and power allocation without projection in bit error rate (BER) performance subject to constraints on total power obviously.
