Abstract
In this paper, a resource pre-configuration scheme has been introduced into GMPLS-based multi-granularity optical networks. By pre-configuring the resource of multilayer optical networks, the topology can be reconstructed with the number of direct routes increasing, and the performance of routing and forwarding can be optimized. Numerical results of the simulations show the connection establishing time of control plane could be significantly reduced by using resource pre-configuration strategy.
