  • Abstract
    In this paper, multiple-symbol-differential-detection (MSDD) of M-PSK with cooperative diversity reception is examined. We analyzed the performance of amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperative MSDD scheme with one relay, and obtained the upper bound of bit-error-rate (BER), which can be used into the environment of arbitrary N (denotes the number of symbols in the observation interval) and arbitrary M-ray PSK modulation, and it also can be easily extended to the condition of multi-relays. Simulation results show the validity of analytic results, and especially for N→∞ . It also can be derived that using MSDD in cooperative diversity with differential detection can really improve the system performance, and the amount of improvement gained depends on N.
