  • Abstract
    Concerning the droughts and floods occurred in the five provinces in southwest of China during this year, a GIS of drought-resistant and flood-prevention test on these five provinces was developed based on GIS technology, SuperMap and C#. This GIS was used to manage the water conservancy and hydrology, and implemented the modern management and analysis of water information, rainfall information, drought information, and flood information, providing the basis for the five provinces´ drought-resistant and flood-prevention. This study systematically introduced the Demands Analysis, construction goals, general design of the system, detailed design, fundamental function, and implementation Scheme of the drought-resistant and flood-prevention management information system designed for the five southwestern provinces.
