AGRINETS 2015: Message from the program chairs

The First International Workshop on Networks and Systems in Agriculture (AGRINETS 2015) was held in Bangalore, India on January 6th 2015 as a satellite of COMSNETS 2015. The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers from academia, industry, and government interested in the application of networks and systems for precision agriculture. The program committee consisted of experts in the area of remote sensing, distributed systems, networks, artificial intelligence, etc. from USA, India, and Australia, and Canada. In response to the call for papers, we received 10 papers that were reviewed by the program committee. Six of these papers were accepted for presentation at the workshop. In addition, the program consisted of keynote talks and several invited talks.
