  • Abstract
In this paper, we give an expression of power spectral density (PSD) of all orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM)-type signals. According to the analysis results, the different PSDs are compared between the original classic OFDM signals and the orthogonal frequency division multiplex/offset QAM (OFDM/OQAM) signals. With the consideration of the clipping peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction methods, we compare the PSD of the clipped classic OFDM and OFDM/OQAM signals with different thresholds. Analysis and simulation results demonstrate the OFDM/OQAM signals have lower out-of-band radiation than that of the classic OFDM signals, even in present of the clipping method.
