Abstract
Coherence in imaging of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) causes Speckle-Effects inherently, which restricts applications of SAR image severely. According to statistic characteristics of speckles and texture characteristics of SAR images, a speckle reduction algorithm with size-changeable window is put forward in this thesis based on relative standard deviation of speckle noise. As the experiment results show, this algorithm has good performance in removing speckles, along with well protection of edge characteristics in SAR images, better than commonly used speckle reduction algorithms to a certain degree.
