Abstract
Two methods for enhancing the coherence are reviewed in this paper. The first one is based on similarity parameter and the second one on a mathematical optimization model. Both methods can be used to fuse the polarimetric information and enhance the coherence effectively. This is helpful for the processing of interferometric data. The equivalence of these two methods is proved. A physical analysis is given to explain this equivalence. The experiment is used to verify the performance of both methods.
