Abstract
The development of an engine monitoring system (EMS) for the TF30, a high-bypass afterburning turbofan engine, is reviewed. EMS features providing flight-line diagnostics and improved maintenance troubleshooting capability are described. System design incorporates standard components and technology insertion upgrades such as an MIL-STD-1750A computer. A level-three design package was produced and delivered to the Air Force to be used for competitive procurement of components from multiple sources
