Abstract
In the magnetic field analysis with the voxel modelling, to reduce the error due to the rough shape approximation, the nonconforming mesh is introduced. The flux density and the force obtained from the voxel modelling with nonconforming mesh are compared with those obtained from the ordinary voxel modelling in a simple 2D model. It is shown that the nonconforming mesh is effective because the number of elements can be greatly reduced compared with that for the conforming mesh with the same accuracy.
