Abstract
Interruptible load management (ILM) is an important part of demand side management (DSM), especially in power market. It has deep influences on reliability and economical operation of power system. How to use a rational model to analyze the ILM becomes a hot topic in China. This paper gives the optimal purchase model of interruptible contract and sets a reasonable selected rule, i.e. the interruptible load should be priorly scheduled in the period with maximal shortage capacity. Based on the rule, the heuristic method is employed to solve the problem. Simulation results of real power system demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed model
