Abstract
This paper presents that torque characteristic according to the pole/slot combination is analyzed under a stator-turn fault. The circulating current affects increasing input current and aggravating torque characteristic under a stator-fault. This paper is made of the modeling of 8-pole 12-slot and 10-pole 12-slot motors using the developed FEM-base model and analyzed the torque characteristic according to the circulating current and input current under a stator-turn fault.
