Abstract
In this paper we propose a numerical modeling of magnetic properties of ferromagnetic shape memory alloys (FSMAs). In order to utilize the engineering modeling in numerical simulations for designing new magnetic actuators, relationship among stress, temperature and magnetic properties of FSMAs was measured and modeled with an arc-tangent function. The modeling was applied to analyze a simple example for verification and the results demonstrated its applicability to numerical simulations.
