Abstract
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how broadband communications can be used to resolve problems related to the emission of gases with a greenhouse effect and to stop sudden climate changes. Good examples of the use of information-communication technologies (ICT) and broadband communications for reduction of carbon-dioxide (CO2) emission have been presented. Furthermore, the collection and the use of information based on ICT is applied in a number of other areas of everyday life such as health, food, energy, environment, waste collection, news.
