Abstract
Integration of wideband joint spatio-temporal spectrum sensing in wireless cellular system (coherent and non-coherent variant) is proposed as preliminary innovative idea. It provides that cellular systems as licensed users should use unoccupied licensed frequency bands assigned to other licensed users. Such cognitive properties integrated in cellular systems should improve their performances both on the level of macro as well as femtocells. Some challenges and system aspects of such integration are shortly highlighted.
