Abstract
This paper describes the characterization of a piezoelectric resonator and more precisely the quality of the resonator mounting. This is achieved using the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software ANSYS as modelling and calculation tool. The work consists in the introduction of elastic elements to model an adhesive joint. The characterization of the vibrating structure (adhesive features) is made by comparison of experimental frequencies with ANSYS ones which are obtained from modal analysis
