Abstract
Industrial environments are complex systems to be monitored and controlled in real time, given the multiplicity presence of vehicles and people. In these areas, however, there are stringent rules for workplace safety. Therefore, advanced monitoring and risk prevention systems can have a particular importance. This article describes the study and implementation of real-time monitoring system for the correct use of personal safety equipment for workplace safety based on an architecture of wearable sensors. The proposed system is based on passive RFID tags and self-powered RFID sensors.
