Abstract
A general approach to transforming direct-form adaptive infinite impulse response (IIR) filtering algorithms into lattice-form adaptive IIR filtering algorithms is presented. Computer simulations are given to show the convergence of the lattice algorithms developed. The lattice-form adaptive IIR algorithms derived are expected to have faster convergence, easier stability monitoring, and greater robustness for finite precision implementation than the direct-form algorithms
