Abstract
Radiation from a PCB with coupling between a low frequency signal and a digital signal trace is studied in this paper. EMI increasing by coupling between these traces on a digital PCB is shown experimentally and theoretically. These traces are routed on the same and different signal planes in the multilayer PCB. Radiated EMI is evaluated with calculation of crosstalk. It is shown that evaluation of EMI level by crosstalk is useful to decide a PCB´s structure for EMI reduction of a high-density assembled PCB. Effective EMI reduction is obtained by separating the low frequency signal trace from the high-speed digital signal by a ground plane
