Abstract
The article introduced a hybrid programming method based on Component Object Model (Component Object Model, COM) with Matlab and VBA. This method uses Matlab Excel Builder as a conversion tool to convert Matlab M-flle function to a COM component which is used in the VBA program. Integration of the two software can not only take advantage of the two languages but also can run completely out of Matlab environment. The implementation process and programming examples illustrates that this method is a simple and convenient and easy way to operate.
