Abstract
The crucial need of speeding-up the research and development in the information and communication technologies has been recognized on the highest level of the Russian Federation Government. Having joined the Bologna process Russia has to reform the Higher Education System in accordance with the European standards. This paper examines transformation to Bologna-style higher education system based on two main cycles (Bachelor and Master) in Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Information Sciences (SibSUTIS). Development and accreditation of programmes of the Bachelor and Master cycles is one of the most important conditions for integration with European universities, enabling mobility of students and academic staff and European Credit Transfer System. In this paper we examine expected outcomes from international partnership of University in accordance with the Bologna declaration. Finally, we denote problems in realization of joint European projects TEMPUS in Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Information Sciences.
