Abstract
In the present work, optimal designs of overhead and cable transmission lines allowing minimization of magnetic fields along the routes of these transmission lines are considered. Currents induced in human body by powerline frequency magnetic fields are calculated. The influence of magnetic-vector orientation with respect to human body on the value of induced body currents is estimated. Currents induced in human bodies during hot repair of overhead transmission lines are calculated.
