Abstract
In this paper, the single-phase boost power factor correction converter is discussed in detail. With the Fourier analysis of the general model, the low frequency model and high frequency model are proposed. From the low frequency model, the expression of the duty cycle, the boundary between continuous current mode (CCM) and discontinuous current mode (DCM), the study of the cusp distortion and the ripple output voltage are developed. While the high frequency components of the input current are described based on the high frequency model. Theoretical results are demonstrated by the simulations and the experiments
