Abstract
This paper describes the system to measure height of human by triangulation using stereo vision which installs two cameras on the ceiling in a stably lighted room. There were difficult cases of head extraction by the conventional method. To solve these problems, and to improve with precision more, we proposed the head extraction method employing the three means, in addition to conventional method. As an experimental result, the human´s head could be extracted in all images, and the average error of height measurement was 3.6[cm].
