Abstract
Power allocation, in most cases, is considered to be an effective means to increase the capacity of wireless ad hoc networks. However, by the same token, it may well play an opposite role in decreasing network capacity. In this paper, under the assumption that all interference is essentially regarded as noise, we introduce a malicious power allocation to minimize the capacity of wireless ad hoc networks. This algorithm may be worth considering by wireless network designers in hostile environments.
