  • Abstract
This paper presents a modified stator flux estimation based direct torque control drive of a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) used in an hybrid electrical vehicle. It provides satisfactory transient and steady state performance of machine torque and speed over a wide speed variation. This utilizes a modified stator flux estimation scheme where a phase and magnitude compensator has been introduced at the output of low pass filter to compensate the error; this error keeps on changing with machine operating frequency. Detail simulation studies are carried out to verify the results in Matlab simulink platform.
