Abstract
This paper gives some comparison figures in terms of transformer windings design. It shows that, irrespective of any special or new material use, the design itself constitutes a very important parameter influencing efficiency. Low, medium and high power transformers have been designed with the goal of achieving minimum losses for a specified rated power. The gain in terms of losses reduction is up to 25 percent, while the transformer cost and length are the lowest as well.
