Abstract
This document provides a solution to the topology problem for the middlebox communication (MIDCOM) method. We define two new messages: selection message, which is exchanged between end users, and request message, which is exchanged between the middlebox (MB) and middlebox agent (MA). These messages enable an MA to discover appropriate MBs that should be controlled for communication between end users.
