North American car and truck buyers are the subjects of interest. Characteristics discussed include demonstration, communication, simplicity, adaptation (in the buyer´s behavior), alternatives, exposure (of the customer to the IVHS idea), buyer´s perception, real benefits, upkeep, value, and price
