Welcome message

On behalf of the IEEE ROBIO2010 Conference Organizing Committee, we welcome you to Tianjin, one of China´s four municipalities directly under the State Council, for 2010 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics. The theme of ROBIO2010 is “Robotics and Biomimetics for Human Science and Engineering”, which reflects the ever-growing research interests in the merging of these two important areas for understanding human and better serving the human society. We have received 419 paper submissions from 33 countries and regions, and accepted 306 papers into ROBIO2010´s technical program after a rigorous full-paper review process. Among them, 269 papers will be presented in 50 oral sessions and 37 posters will be presented in 2 poster sessions. The plenary talks will be delivered by three distinguished speakers: Professor H. Harry Asada, Professor Tim Lueth and Professor Max Q.-H Meng.
