Abstract
This paper presents a method for identifying of parameters of synchronous generators using the synthetic data. In this work, the norm trajectory sensitivity method is proposed to estimate the electrical parameters of different synchronous generators models for different conditions, for steady state, and transient and sub-transient operations. The captured data is used, together with an initial set of machine parameters. In this paper is showing too, the subset selection of parameters. It is shown that attempts to estimate all of the parameters can yield unreliable results. The estimated parameters are compared to available manufacturer data and the accuracy of the method is assessed.
