Abstract
Based on Holme and Kim (HK) model, We propose an extended HK evolving network model including a triad formation step. Triad formation mechanism is extend among old nodes compared to the HK model, which settle the shortages of HK: there is no link evolution in old nodes and the numbers of links of a new node coming to network is fixed. Theoretical analyses and numerical simulations show that our model captures power-law distributions of node degree, as confirmed in several real-world systems. Moreover, in our model, the clustering coefficient is tunable simply by changing the expected number of triad formation step.
