Abstract
With the apparition of the IEEE 802.11e standard, it is already possible to differentiate and to grant several priorities to traffic flows with different needs. However, it does not solve the performance anomaly problem due to the fair channel access of the 802.11. In this article the behavior of a QBSS is analyzed when the main traffic through it is VoIP and FTP taking into account a perceptual evaluation point of view. The influence of the insertion of users at a smaller speed (performance anomaly) is also studied and simulations show that it is possible to improve the results by means of modifications of some of the parameters that come by default with the standard.
