Abstract
This paper focuses on time division half-duplex relays, and focuses on finding lower and upper bounds on the capacity limits on general discrete memoryless half-duplex relays following a decode-and-forward policy. This paper is motivated by the importance and practicality of half-duplex relays to the development of future ad hoc wireless systems. For the Gaussian case, the achievable region obtained employs a dirty-paper precoding strategy.
