Abstract
A novel method of estimating the range for localization in a interference limited wireless sensor network (WSN) is proposed in this paper. The received sensor signal indication (RSSI) algorithm is the most common algorithm for sensor range measurement, however in interference limited environments it is prone to erroneous estimation. Thus a non-parametric maximum likelihood (NPML) adaptive estimator for channel localization in interference limited channels is proposed for localization in OFDM based WSN. A complete receiver architecture based on NPML is also introduced. Performance of the proposed algorithm is shown using simulation.
