Abstract
Information technology for e-governance system could yield great benefits and modernization of the different government sectors. The experience of e-governance system in a number of developed and developing countries has shown that information technology can provide greater service delivery with great quality. The purpose of this paper is to better understand how agile principles, specifically eXtreme Programming (XP) practices, can be effectively introduced and implemented into e-government system in developing countries that have historically embraced the plan-driven traditional software development environment.
