Abstract
This paper describes the design of a fuzzy controller based on MacVicar-Whelan fuzzy control relation matrix (1976). An interesting feature of the proposed design is that the rule acquisition process, essential in most fuzzy controller designs, is avoided. A procedure is given for the tuning of the proposed fuzzy controller. Experimental results show that the proposed fuzzy controller can cope with the plant having different types of nonlinearity elements
