  • Abstract
Investigates the application of simple adaptive control (SAG) to a heat-exchange system with distributed parameters. Recently, SAC has been investigated because of its easy implementation and robustness; but its application has been restricted to systems that satisfy the almost strictly positive real (ASPR) condition. In this paper, the authors first investigate the ASPR condition for an approximated finite dimension controlled object using the finite difference method (FDM) and the Galerkin method with sinusoidals and splines as trial functions. After that, using lumped parameters system (LPS) theory, the authors build an adaptive control system. Finally, the application´s problems are investigated by numerical simulation
