Abstract
As the computer systems become more and more complex, project exploitation is more and more difficulty. Unfortunately, many complex system projects are unsuccessful. One of the most important reasons is lacking of requirement management. Therefore, this paper proposes a requirement management approach which is based on a requirement management tool-RequisitePro. The requirement category guiding principle is shown, and the consistency and traceability between requirement categories and UML model are established. In addition, a detail requirement management based on a train control system which is a typical complex system will be shown. The result proves that this requirement management approach can cover all requests, and it is feasible and effective.
