Abstract
Mobile devices are widely used as a convenient device which provides cell phone capability and computing power. However, their resources such as CPU and memory are limited. A common form of remedying the resource constraints, service-based mobile computing is emerging. However, there still exists problems in this paradigm, lack of stability and performance, and limited manageability. In this paper, we present a noble approach to resolving the problems and providing effective computing environment, called Service-based Mobile Ecosystem (SME). It is a computing environment which continuously monitors the quality of services and performance necessary services migrations and replications as means of providing self-stabilization of services for service-based mobile computing. A key feature of SME is to utilize the ever-increasing computing power of mobile devices in dynamically deploying requested services on the devices. By adopting the computing model of SME, we believe that super mobile computing without manageability problem can be realized.
