Abstract
Coverage problem is one of the fundamental issues in wireless sensor network. When sensor nodes move in the process of coverage, distance optimization could effectively reduce the energy consumption and prolong the network life. This problem in two-dimensional space could be solved with current control algorithms, but further research is needed in three-dimensional space. With the analysis of deployment strategy in three-dimensional space, a hybrid coverage control algorithm based on energy efficiency in three-dimensional wireless sensor network is proposed. It utilizes artificial immune algorithm to improve ant colony algorithm function, which effectively overcomes the shortcoming of local optimal solution in ant colony algorithm. The proposed hybrid algorithm not only guarantees the high quality of network coverage, but also enhances the energy efficiency of sensors. Simulation results prove its validity.
