  • Abstract
    This paper describes research results on reliability test plans and failure analyses for relay. The focus subjects studied in this paper are about electronic static measuring relay and small control relay. The paper discusses the failure mode and failure mechanism for relay in detail, and provide necessary measures on failure prevention. For the purpose of describing the reliability of relay quantitatively, the authors provide the reliability parameter on basis of analyses for above two kinds of relay. For electronic static measuring relay, MTTF and success ratio are suggested to be reliability parameter. For small control relay, the failure rate is suggested to be the reliability parameter. At last, the paper discusses the reliability test plans and test procedures
