Abstract
Based on the full wave model, vector boundary element method (VBEM) is used to study the ring number effect on the propagation and dispersion properties of the PCF. Besides showing the accuracy of the VBEM, we found that considering only one ring will give significant discrepancy for predicting dispersion of PCF.
