Abstract
Optical components used in subscriber networks must display superior optical performance and reliability. Optical components such as the planar waveguide coupler module and MT connector and their respective alignment and connection technologies are described in this paper. These components are presently being used in PDS networks as well as in remote fiber test systems used for the maintenance of optical fiber networks
