  • Abstract
    The soil nitrogen transformation is one of the important parts for the nitrogen cycle in terrestrial ecosystems. The nitrogen use efficiency of the plant is limited by the nitrogen availability, which directly affect the productivity of terrestrial ecosystems. The soil nitrogen transformation is a complex process influenced by many environmental factors. This article made a detailed overview on the effects of the soil moisture and temperature, soil pH, organic matter and typical pollutants on soil nitrogen transformation. It further indicated the interaction and the influence of the environmental factors under global climate changes should be addressed in the future research. The research may provide basic document for the management of soil nitrogen in terrestrial ecosystems.
