Abstract
A balanced microstrip antenna fed from H-type apertures on the broad walls of rectangular waveguides, where the waveguides are fed by a waveguide 180° hybrid is proposed. The bandwidth of the antenna is 35% for SWR = 2, approximately, and good radiation patterns were achieved. Very good agreement between simulation and measurement was obtained.
