Abstract
This paper presents an experimental investigation aimed at evaluating the influence of the Analog to Digital (A/D) conversion section on the overall Software Defined Radio (SDR) behavior. An actual SDR platform has been set up and the main A/D conversion parameters, affecting the receiving path, have been experimentally evaluated. In particular, Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), SIgnal to Noise And Distortion ratio SINAD and Spurious Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) have been taken in account.
